Please mark your calendars for the May monthly meeting, held at the Portland (PDX) Airport. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the construction of the new the Portland Airport terminal and get a firsthand view of the beautiful new open atrium and shops. A networking reception event will follow with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Limited to the first 30 tickets sold.
Those attending will be required to wear footwear with high ankle support (like hiking boots). Any participant who is not wearing the required footwear will not be permitted into the airport construction area. All other PPE will be provided.

Time: 3:00pm
Location: Portland PDX Airport – Park in Short-Term Parking; vouchers will be provided. Take the Salmon elevators all the way to the tunnel floor. Exit and then take a right (opposite of the moving walkways) when you go through the double sliding doors and follow the signs that lead you to “Port Offices.” Go through the glass door and take the elevator to floor 8, Port Reception.
Agenda:
- 3:00pm – Arrive and park in Short-term parking. Allow time to walk to the Port Reception location.
- 3:00pm-3:30pm – Arrive at the Port Reception area and put on PPE.
- 3:45pm – All participants will be escorted through the secure area of the Port Offices through the Atrium to view the Architectural mockup of the TCORE expansion.
- 4:00pm – All participants will be escorted from Port HQ into the passenger terminal, through the sterile area, and into the construction zone. (NOTE: THIS AREA HAS SOME SENSITIVE TSA EQUIPMENT BEING INSTALLED AND WHILE PICTURES ARE ENCOURAGED WE WILL NOTIFY YOU OF WHAT YOU CAN NOT TAKE PICTURES OF).
- 5:00pm – 7:00pm – or sooner, return to Chinook Conference Room (Commission Chambers) for happy hour including beer, wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
