Keynote Speaker: Ila Borders – Making My Pitch: A Woman’s Baseball Odyssey Ila Borders' passion for baseball started at a young age. Despite facing barriers and discrimination, Ila persevered and became a trailblazer for women in baseball. She then made history by becoming the first woman to pitch in a men's regular season integrated professional baseball game and the first to earn a win in a men's integrated professional baseball game. Ila's success on the field has been matched by her dedication to mentoring young baseball players and her work as a Training Captain for Clackamas Fire District #1.
